Fees

Fees

HART's adoption fee varies, depending on the age of the dog, from $100 to $400, and of the cat, from $50 to $160, before taxes. This includes spay/neuter, all shots, a microchip, a dental cleaning if needed and heartworm treatment for positive dogs.

We know each pet’s temperament and personality to help match our dogs to the best possible forever home.

The money we receive through adoption fees doesn't cover all our actual bills (veterinary bills, some boarding costs, heartworm preventatives, grooming, food, toys, etc.) We rely heavily on fundraisers as well as donations from HART volunteers, friends, businesses and past adopters to help us give these dogs their second chance. At HART, we think all dogs and cats deserve a second chance at a loving forever home.

We hope you’ll learn more about HART by browsing our website and viewing our pets. We hope you become part of the HART family as an adopter, a volunteer, a financial supporter or by simply keeping us in your thoughts and prayers.
